O.S.A.S. Screws

All implants are made of titanium (Tl6AL4V). Ti64 / TI6Al4V (titanium grade 5) is the most commonly used titanium alloy due to the good ratio between high strength and low density. Furthermore, the material TI6Al4V has a high resistance to corrosive media and has excellent biocompatibility.

The internal thread in the screw head enables the stable integration of a wide variety of appliances, making it possible to effectively treat almost all indications in modern orthodontics.

This screw was developed together with the University of Heidelberg. The two different threads, the screw neck and the length of the screw are specially adapted for the lower jaw. The screwable head enables the MIRA appliance to be attached, among other things. Optimized for intra-radicular anchoring in the lower jaw, provides stability for additional orthodontic appliances

Technical Guide

Palatal seam screws

Extremely stable special screws for palatal expansion. The anatomically shaped profile reduces the space required in the palate. Preformed, laser-welded retention arms, stable guide pins, and generously dimensioned threaded spindles for maximum safety and force transmission. Fixed center piece for high torsional and bending strength when extended. Backward rotation protection thanks to integrated plastic bushing. This ensures smooth operation and maximum reliability. The fixed center piece (not in 1114/10) guarantees maximum bending and torsional strength even when stretched, including a safety key.
